 Department: UMR5163 Assistant Professor Tel: (+33) 0476637472 corinne.mercier@ujf-grenoble.fr Recent work have shown that proteins secreted from the dense granule organelles soon after invasion contribute significantly to the formation of the membranous network present in the parasitophorous vacuole (PV). I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms which allow: (i) the formation of the PV membranous network and the function of this particular structure at the host- parasite interface; (ii) the evolution of this PV network during the encystation process. I am also interested in dissecting the contribution of dense granule proteins to the parasite virulence. Publications Research team |
